Compal is responsible for the production and sale of fruit juices, nectars and soft drinks, vegetable preserves, tomato-based products and natural sparkling water.

 

Fruit Juices, Nectars and Soft drinks:

The Fruit Juices, Nectars and non-carbonated Soft Drinks business division account for the biggest share of Compal, SA's business and is constantly stimulated by the introduction of new products, new tastes, new concepts, based on two fundamental principles: “nutrition” (100% fruit nectars and juices) and “thirst” (juice based drinks and non-carbonated value-added soft drinks).

Tradition and modernity combined with a dynamic policy of product differentiation and brand communication, have granted Compal a privileged position in the juice markets where it operates.

 

Ready-to-eat vegetables and Tomate-based products:

The evolution of the Compal brand in these categories has been faithful to the company's Mission . Compal, SA is leader in the ready-to-eat vegetables' sector and is second in the tomato-based segment. Compal is known by 98% of the ready-to-eat vegetables and tomato-based products' consumers.

Compal's strategy in these sectors has privileged differentiation and innovation of its products so as to be able to fulfil the consumers' needs and the market dynamics in a competitive way. Thanks to these new developments the company has been able to increase its competitiveness and consolidate its brands' positions.


 

Waters:

Compal, SA entered the quality drinking water market in 1999, with the acquisition of the total share capital of Águas de Bem Saúde, owner of Frize. This transaction allowed Compal, SA to broaden its drinks' portfolio, increasing the company's direct distribution capacity to hotels, restaurants and cafés, (on and off trade), essential to the company's future growth and profitability. With the success attained by
Frize, the water business is currently a consistent bet for Compal,SA.

Frize's dramatic market growth was originated by the increase in the products offered, which apart from the original Frize, now includes original vegetable extract refreshing drinks with natural sparkling mineral water Frize.

Frize is leader in the fruit-aromatised mineral water segment, with daily sales of more than 200 000 bottles.
